Nylander would be great for CBJ

Jenner and Savard

Or

Marner for Jones

its thanks giving , team is playing for .500 almost, I think Kekaleinen will just put it on neutral and see where the car goes.

I'd do the Nylander trade - but it's well-known that Dubas told Nylander he wouldn't be traded. If he turns around and trades him, it puts Dubas in the same position Babcock had - not having the trust of the players.

With Marner, Jones is a deal-breaker . . . however, let's talk - maybe something can be worked out using other players.
The down side with Marner I'd worry about is whether he would mope since he's not in Toronto.

I wouldn't do Kreider or Donato.
Kreider, a 2C, most likely is a rental - UFA at the end of the year. Do we really need to lose assets for that. He's 28 . . . looking for his last good grab for the pot o'gold. Most likely wants $7+M for 7-8 yrs. Nope . . . nada . . . see ya !! Probably not signing here.
Donato just doesn't move the needle enough to again lose assets. We have several other young players who can do what he does.

I'd like to see Jarmo pull off a big trade to add top-6 offense - and I think it would be after Jan. 1. I wouldn't expect Jarmo to make a trade just to trade.

Hall has a cap hit of 6 mill if im not mistaken and I pretty sure the Devils can eat up to half of that so although he isnt signed after this year adding Hall for a play off run becomes possible for most strapped teams.

I personally think he will be in very high demand so we will see what that yeilds.

Would love to have him . . . and pretty sure Jarmo would be happy to give him an 8 figure salary for 7 yrs. He just turned 28, so the last couple of years might be wonky.
However, unless we know he's signing in C-bus, he'd be a rental, and we went through that last year

Whether or not they try and make a trade for him this season, I myself would bet a fair amount of kash the CBJ will offer Hall THE biggest FA deal he gets. Of course, nobody knows if he's interested in coming to Columbus or not; but they'll almost certainly make it worth his while financially.
